DETAILSSeptember 2024–Present
Graphic Designers want to develop a design centre at CalArts. A physical space on campus where Graphic Design students can work for institute clients, provide peer-to-peer tutoring, while also learning practical client/production skills. The intention is to create a communal space to integrate Graphic Design students from all years and students from other programs at CalArts.
I led the art direction for the brand identity, print design for this collaborative design center.

Building the Brand Kit
PERSONALIZINGTo make our image making unique to us. We used colorful shapes overlapping to represent collaboration. Along with customizing the logo type from Good Sans, by adding a stroke with rounded corners and changing the letterforms.
Designing the Space
VINYL DESIGNThe Design Center space had these large, wonderful windows; therefore, we wanted to use these windows to make the space feel fully designed. Not only that, but the Design Center is on a hill. Therefore, we knew that we needed vinyl to block off the bottom of the window for protection.
