I worked with the same team at Intersect|GMD to create a brand identity for NAIA after creating the promotional materials.
I designed the typographic forms in the primary mark. They were created using the Fibonacci sequence, which occurs everywhere in nature. The configuration of the N-A-I-A letter-forms within the square represent a container or a space for all people who identify as Native American and/or Indigenous as well as those who want to learn more. The letter forms are also a nod to community, as the “A” also takes on the character of shelter.
